Amnesia-The-Dark-Descent-Cover-Art.png This game is awful. I played for a hour and I saw, felt, and heard nothing but the worst garbage ever made by those enormous morons in Sweden. This game is SSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO overrated. Everyone who plays this damn shitwad thinks it is the best game for the PC-Engine ever made. This game has the worst things for a title I have ever seen with my own eyes and the worst audio for my ears.
 I. Graphics
This game has the dumbest way to cater graphics ever. There is this stupid menu where you select your level of resolution and how you want the game to look. Each level is horrible. The lowest resolution has no semblance of reality at all and looks like something on the GameBoy Color. Everything is messy and colors blur with shadow to make no real attempt in the look of the game at all. All lights seem to overshadow the very candle or torch where they sit, while barely lighting the room or hall. The highest setting gives an unreal cockamamie clutter of light, shadow, and most importantly, comprehension. There is no way to see what you do in this game. It tries to be dark, but only becomes black. As to not have any real vision for the player. Even the middle setting of resolution has both flaws of these atrocious settings. There is no middle ground for this game. Nothing makes fucking sense. I had to get so close to anything to see what the hell was happening, that I simply could never enjoy the game. Graphics for visual impression is one thing, but graphics that are so terrible that nothing is visible is an excuse that can never be fixed.
 II. Gameplay
This has the traditional, assoholic, first-person view only with horrendous controls that make me vomit. The jump button is reversed from where a normal human would press, and the control for movement is awkward in a very dumb way that fries the imagination. Buttons so scattered across a keyboard with nowhere to go. There is no way to change the perspective to a third-person view, so the controls are pretty fucked. No excuse for this one.
 III. Design
The whole layout of the game is one big mess that has no identifiable path to navigate. Every path is ridiculously stupid and sometimes I feel like I was only here a minute ago. No map to tell where the fuck you are only with your memory to serve as the guide. Unless one has a pen and paper, there is nowhere left for one to traverse the shit-filled scum-pond that is this game. I had to draw several maps to tell where the hell I was. Another fucking excuse.
IV. Plot
Seeing how I played very little of this game, I have to say that Amnesia: The Dark Descent should be a movie and not a game. It seems that they focused on story too much and never gameplay so there is nothing to say about this.

Overall, this thing was so overrated. Why people like it so much? I will never know.
I also hated the sanity and health meters.
